6 Local and International Designers to feature Spring/Summer 2022 collections, Sept. 17
WASHINGTON, DC (September 17, 2021) – Nationally acclaimed runway producer, Studio|Couture, will host its premiere The Runway Spring/Summer 2022 (SS22) fashion show on Friday, September, 17, 2021, at the Asian Fusion Gallery (AFG) on L Street NW in the heart of downtown Washington, DC. Doors open at 6:30 PM for a pop-up shopping experience with show designers and hand selected artisans, the runway show begins promptly at 8:00 PM.

After curating a successful event with luxury lifestyle brand, Dur Doux, at New York Fashion Week(NYFW), Studio|Couture is excited to present The Runway as a new event series aimed at highlighting fashion and beauty industry creatives in a world post COVID-19.
The Runway: East to West is the first show of the new series following NYFW and will showcase the exclusive SS22 collections from select Black and Asian designers making international waves in the industry.

The Runway: East to West SS22 Fashion Show marks the first time ever that the Asian Fusion Gallery will open its doors for a night of fashion at its spacious, three-story venue in the heart of the District.

We look forward to celebrating an evening of rich culture and diversity.”
Andrew Nowell Menswear will be presenting SS22 collection Sept. 17
Featured collections for Friday’s show include: Lê Tâm, TrufacebyGrace, Andrew Nowell, DiDomenico, Vintage Thrivals, and Traditional Kimonos via Japan-American Society. Celebrity guest models including Deja Logan, Danielle Huser, Alex Shin aka DJ $uavé and Gío will also grace the runway.

Fashion-forward thinkers, creatives, innovators, and industry supporters can enjoy complimentary cocktails from Green Hat Gin and Catocin Creek Whiskey as well as rooftop views and a cultural performance from the DC Fuyao HANFU Association. Music will be spun by DC’s hottest DJ’s – DJ Chan Don and DJ $uavé.

Studio|Couture and the Asian Fusion Gallery are following COVID-19 protocols as they are released by District officials. Standing room tickets are currently on sale for $25, capacity is limited. Dress code is dress to impress, and a special gift will be awarded to the most fashionable mask and ensemble at the end of the night.
