JULIEN FOURNIE SS 2024 during Paris Haute Couture Week

JULIEN FOURNIE Spring-Summer 2024 COUTURE COLLECTION

First Vamps

“Glossy” lips on sharp fangs, Julien Fournié reconnects with the codes of fantasy to celebrate the power of women. Each design here represents a subtle blend of sensuality and mystery. Each piece, designed with meticulous precision, enhances reach lady’s particular seduction.

As conscious temptresses, these femme fatales use all their finery to assert themselves and charm. Far from any spirit of submission or cheap romanticism, they raise their heads and frankly dare display their sharply cut silhouette.

Luxurious fabrics and impeccable finishings add to the sophistication. The first look sets the tone with a Parisian elegance note, made of freedom and originality; in a unique black feather tweed – the result of a collaboration with feather artist Julien Vermeulen – Julien Fournié profiles a mid-calf sheath, a sumptuous and delicate shell for the body.

Followed by textile sculptures in Prince-of-Wales, denim, panther printed leather play with asymmetry, oversized Victorian sleeves, shaded or embroidered transparencies and anatomical inlays, to reinterpret the entire feminine wardrobe in a suit, a uniform with futuristic cutouts, a short trench coat, an embroidered jacket… so many occasions to give back to each piece its playful, festive and graceful dimension.

Like the models who wear them, the pieces adorned with flowers both attract and impress. These mandrakes intimate respect with touches on a neckline, or in a generous bouquet on the hipline. A real spell of embroidery, is summoned on a jacket worn on bare skin with seamed stockings and impetuous heels. The bramble of a carnivorous plant born from a fantastic imagination takes possession of a metallic corset, On the evening sheaths, glittering petals of giant flowers deploy their dangerous attraction.

Embroidery becomes a major asset here. Julien Fournié imposes it for all ages and conditions. Far from reserving his style to young girls only, Julien Fournié dares to imagine for Michaela Tomanova – his seven months pregnant muse – a jersey evening sheath built on a fully embroidered harness over the shoulders.

In thE Fournié universe, women use accessories as assets of voluptuousness: from the House’s signature embroidered bags to the dizzying stilettos, from the suspender belts to gloves. They even boast lace parasols to add up to their charm.

The bride expresses her desire and dares sheer embroidered tulle to conquer her bridegroom. Clearly, she activates the magic of attraction to express her love.

“With this collection celebrating our House’s 15th anniversary, I wanted to recapture the joy, the fantasy, the lightness that is missing today,” declares Julien Fournié. “Yes, clothing can help you transcend anxiety-provoking climates and assert your personality without taboos.”
