ESTHER BANCEL AW 2024 during Paris Fashion Week

ESTHER BANCEL Fall-Winter 2024 COLLECTION

French tailoring maison inspired by early 20th century men’s suits and by curiosity cabinets. esther bancel brings to the fore handmade creations and cares for the transmission of ancestral know-how through an exclusive collaboration with a “sartorial master” whose manufacturing workshop is located in Picardy. Esther Bancel has always reflected on what, artistically, is most fragile in us and how we can poetise and sublimate it. This reflection creates somewhat of a conflict in her creations, a clash between darkness and the sometimes-invisible poetry that surrounds it. The designer also gave thought to how we should create and consume a garment. More than a brand, it’s a way of doing things that she wishes to develop, a movement that totally contradicts how the textile industry currently handles its business. For the sake of eco-responsibility, the brand wants to create products that don’t meet stock requirements and seasonality. Every three months, esther bancel launches a new line of creations with new fits. All creations are made to order and then sent to the brand’s workshops in France, with deliveries within three weeks.

The collection will take up the theme of beauty that is both marvelous and repulsive with work around the orchid. He says a darkness came from a deep romanticism. We will find the orchid painted by hand, with barely drawn contours as if it had been scanned. In luxurious deep red embroidery. Or even worked as a patch with a torn outline on beautiful delicate and plain material.
