Copenhagen Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2026 has officially launched today, cementing its status as the world’s most sustainable fashion capital with a packed lineup of 44 shows and presentations running through August 8. Under CEO Cecilie Thorsmark’s leadership, every brand must meet 18 rigorous sustainability requirements—no exceptions—or face exclusion from the official schedule. This season marks a record with carbon-neutral venues, zero-waste runways, and blockchain-traced supply chains, proving Scandi style can lead global change.

The week opened strong with OperaSPORT’s 3D-printed flip-flops in collaboration with Havaianas and Zellerfeld, blending tech innovation with pastel lace dresses and structured tailoring. Ganni followed with recycled-nylon parachute silhouettes in Electric Fuchsia, layered over mesh cycling shorts for that effortless dopamine hit. Rotate Birger Christensen dazzled with glitter-fringed minis on solar-powered mirrors, while Nicklas Skovgaard—fresh Wessel & Vett Prize winner—debuted deadstock crochet bonnets atop biodegradable sequin bombers.

WGSN/Coloro key colors dominate: Electric Fuchsia crashes into Jelly Mint and Transformative Teal, signaling the end of muted minimalism. Silhouettes go oversized—baggy barrel jeans, cocoon knits, apron skirts flipped as capes. Accessories scream playfulness: raffia puppets replace Labubu plush, holographic pillbox hats, interchangeable-handle bags from Munthe’s plant-dyed collection.

Street style sets trends early: leopard faux-fur over lace tights, shredded suede bombers, polka-dot blazers with Seoul cargo layers. Gender fluidity reigns supreme—mesh on all, bucket hats shared freely. The Forum hosts 22 panels on mycelium leather and greenwashing, with repair cafés offering lifetime mending.

Emerging stars shine via CPHFW NEWTALENT: Berner Kühl, Bonnetje, Anne Sofie Madsen continue; Kettel Atelier, Stem, Taus earn “One to Watch.” Zalando Visionary Award winner IAMISIGO brings African innovation.
