Best of all– they get to pay to get glammed and enjoy fashion while supporting a wonderful cause to help kids and adults with terminal diseases that need support,” Rosete stated.
This year also marks the ninth year anchoring LA as a major fashion hub while also uplifting and celebrating LatinX designers, something Art Hearts Fashion has proactively and consciously done over the course of its 11-year fashion show programming as an organization that is primarily LatinX with a Latino founder/president.
Art Hearts Fashion is also pleased to make this year’s Los Angeles Fashion Week bigger and better by collaborating with the LA Fashion District’s various wholesale showrooms to jointly host LA Market Week, which consists of a series of fashion events, activations, and networking gatherings for emerging and established LA designers, fashion buyers and other noteworthy attendees who work in the fashion industry. Art Hearts Fashion is strategically collaborating with the Fashion Business Improvement District (BID) and its partners for this new expansion to Los Angeles Fashion Week including The New Mart, The Cooper Building, The California Market Center, Lady Liberty Building, Brand Assembly, the California Fashion Association and Fashion TechWorks. “Los Angeles Fashion Week and LA Market Week are happening simultaneously at the same time in the same three-block radius of downtown LA this year, which is monumental! This expands, reimagines and elevates the traditional fashion week formula by incorporating experiences and partnerships with added venues, trade shows, showrooms, venues and runway shows that ultimately creates a collaborative atmosphere between boutique & couture brands and fashion lovers alike,” said Erik Rosete, founder and president of Art Hearts Fashion.
LA Market Week’s staple trade show has become the West Coast’s premier fashion trade show for contemporary apparel and accessories and will be instrumental in scaling this year’s Los Angeles Fashion Week. “The Fashion Week Hub at Fashion Techworks will also serve as the buyers lounge, and a home base for designers to incorporate their state of the art facilities to conduct live podcast shows, fashion industry workshops, fittings, and preparations for Los Angeles Fashion Week,” Rosete continued.
This year’s LA Market Week will take place inside the New Mart’s Fashion TechWorks Buyers Lounge & Fashion Pavillion spaces in downtown LA located at 127 E. Ninth Street from Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022 until Oct. 16th, 2022. “We’re excited that this new hybrid fashion week experience will become a major staple in the world of fashion while boosting and innovating the local LA fashion industry,” Rosete stated.
On Monday, October 10th, The Fashion Business District is hosting a kick-off block party by closing 9th Street from Main to Los Angeles Street, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., in collaboration with Art Hearts Fashion and the major fashion showrooms participating in LA Market Week.
